Trial & Error: Mascara Edition

When it comes to cosmetics, you don't always have to spend an arm and a leg for quality. Some people say a Maybelline mascara is better than one from MAC. The down side to this is trial and error. You end up spending a good amount of money to find out what works best for you. Then, people label you as a product junkie (smh). One store that often eliminates this problem is Sephora. You can get a sample of anything from liquid foundation to perfume. This time, I will focus on our lovely eye friend, mascara.  Here are my thoughts on a few wands I've tried within the last year:

L'Oréal Telescopic Shocking Extensions

I actually received this in the mail for a study. I love the slim rubber mascara wand with the tiny bristles because they separate each eyelash individually. This product was also clump-free and didn't smell bad, but after about 2 weeks, the product got hard and started to clump like crazy.

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash

Now, I usually don't like big bristles but I've heard good things about this and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, this was a no go for me. It clumped my lashes together like no one's business. Clump city to the fullest. One plus was the extreme black color.

Buxom Amplified Lash

I believe Sephora gave me a sample of this as a point perk and honestly, I’ve been hooked ever since! This mascara never dries out nor does it clump. The wand separates each lash individually and also gives you length. You can make the wand longer or shorter to help maximize the length and volume of your lashes.
