Nail Color of the Week - OPI "I Just Can't Cope-acabana"

I went to the nail salon over the weekend and FINALLY got my hands on a good yellow nail polish. I've tried so many variations of this color that turned out sheer, no matter how many coats I put on. This one was opaque with just two coats. So far, this polish is holding up really well. I just have a little chip on my middle finger, but that's it.

Would I buy this? Definitely!

Nail Color of the Week: Essie "Sittin' Pretty"

Upon entering the nail salon, this color immediately caught my attention. This was one of those colors that actually looked the same in bottle as it did on my nails. It's like a bright lavender-pink that goes on opaque with two coats. Unfortunately, by the next day, my nails started to chip. I think this happens because some salons try to make their nail polishes stretch by adding acetone or thinner to it.

Would I buy this nail polish? Definitely! It's a gorgeous color.

Nail Color of the Week: Revlon "Posh"

I wanted something a little bold this week so I opted for a green nail polish. I like Revlon because they have a wide array of colors that give you a lasting manicure. One downside to this is the consistency of the polish. They tend to be a little bit on the watery side, so the clean-up process gets a little messy. Overall, I love the color and achieved it in two coats.
Would I wear this again? Yessir!

Nail Color of the Week: Essie "Capri"

Whenever I see this color, I automatically think of summer. I found this beauty at Marshalls one day for $3.99. It goes on opaque in two coats and hardly chips.

Will I wear this again? Of course :)

Nail Color of the Week: Forever 21 "Coral"

I have to say, I am very impressed! After doing some Sunday cleaning, I painted my nails with this Forever 21 color I bought a year ago (the packaging has since changed). Today is Wednesday and I am happy to say that my nails have not chipped at all! This to me is amazing. Don't sleep on their nail polish. This $2.80 beauty will give you a great lasting manicure.

Will I wear this again? Yes :)

Nail Polish Storage

My nail polish collection is forever growing. When Sally's or a local BSS has brands like China Glaze or OPI on sale for say $3.99, I will buy it. Might as well get it at a discount since they're usually $8 a pop. Now, where do you store all these little bottles? I use to keep them in a large cosmetic bag, but when you're in a rush to paint your nails, the last thing you want to do is fish through something.  So I took a trip down to The Container Store to see what I could find. I love this store because they have loads and loads of options available. Creativity is key!

So I purchased 3 clear shoe box storage containers for $1.89 each. I figured the best way to organize is by color coding (I know some people prefer to do it by brand). Here's how I did it:

Bright colors that scream spring/summer! Red , pink, yellow, orange and purple

Basic neutral colors like nude, beige, white and brown

Dark fall/winter colors like black, deep purple, blue and green

For me, this system works best because I can see every color clearly. They also stack right on top of each other which is great. How do you like to store your nail polish?

Milani Nail Polish- Sunkissed Glow

On the Milani website this color is listed as a coral pink and I have to say, in the bottle, it looks more coral, but on your nails, it looks more pink.

Now, I'm not really a fan of pink nail polish but I decided to give this one a try. I did my nails this past Sunday and used their Smooth Base Coat and Glosse Top Coat. This is definitely a sheer color. It goes on pretty and a little on the watery side, but overall gives your nails a coral-pinkish glow.

Glitter Nail Polish

Holiday season is in full swing! Bright lights, festive decorations and family gatherings are encompassing the hearts of many around the world. Now in the world of fashion, it calls for lots of glitz and glam.

I was in ULTA not too long ago and came across this really nice glittery nail polish by them called "Pinata-Yada-Yada." It was on sale for $1.99 so I had to grab it. I used China Glaze's "Rodeo Diva" to paint all my nails and accented my index fingers with the glitter nail polish on top. What do you think?

Since we're approaching the fall I wanted to try out something different. So out with the pink and in with the......gold??
