Review: MAC "Flat Out Fabulous" Lipstick

It's officially summer, so I decided to hop into MAC and get this bright plum lipstick called "Flat Out Fabulous." This retro matte finish will stay put all day. The only downside to this is how drying it feels (don't want that cracked lip look). To combat this, the makeup artist put a dab of the tinted lipglass called "Rebel" in the middle. She also wanted a little more definition and used the lipliner "Currant." Below is a swatch with my outfit deets.

Yes, I know, this picture is gross cause it's in a bathroom but I really wanted to take a picture of
my outfit! I didn't have time to iron a dress this morning so I opted to throw on my

Havana Twists

I took out my Senegalese twists about a week ago and decided to get Havana Twists. I bought 10 bags of marley hair which cost $4.99 a pack. Now, the best part about all of this is that I was in and out of the salon within 2 hours! Now, for braids, this is amazing. Of course it's because they are huge but depending on how these last, I'll get them more often.

Protective Styling: Senegalese Twists

I get so bored when it comes to hairstyles. Every so often, I end up changing it approximately every 6-8 weeks by jumping from my natural hair to u part wigs to Senegalese twists and the list goes on. It's a never ending cycle.

This time around, after wearing my hair natural for about two months, I decided to get Senegalese twists. Don't get me wrong, I loveee my natural hair but from time to time, I get tired of the moisturizing, twisting, etc. And let’s not forget about wash day! My whole Sunday is devoted to detangling, oil treatments, washing by section, conditioning under my makeshift steamer and THEN twisting or doing bantu knots. I love it all, but a break every once in a while isn't bad.

Two ladies were dedicated to my head and it took approximately 5 hours. I went to the local beauty supply and purchased 9 bags of regular synthetic braiding hair because I wanted it to be waist length. I'll most likely keep these in for about 6 weeks max and then it's back to my natural hair!
