So after looking at this hair on blogs for about 2 years I finally decided to purchase it. I got one 14in from hairsisters.com for $90 (they had a 10% sale) and the other at my local bss.

Petey Pablo to Serve Prison Sentence

Just yesterday I was reading about Mystikal starting his career over after being released from jail in early 2010. Now this morning I see Petey Pablo will be serving a prison sentence for possession of a stolen firearm. He tried to board a plane with it last year and come to find out this same weapon was stolen during a burglary some years prior. I'm just like damn. I know he hasn't had any major hits since "Freek-A-Leek" but so many rappers are being or have been incarcerated. We have Ja-Rule, Lil Wayne, T.I, and others. I know they all have different sentences but question is, do some of these rappers think they are invincible? Or is it the legal system being extra hard on them because of their celebrity status? What do you think?

Vh1 is teaming up with stylist June Ambrose to bring "The June Ambrose Project." According to a press release that just hit the news wire this morning, it is expected to hit sometime in early 2012. She is known in the industry as someone that has no limits when it comes to fashion. A few celebrities that can tell you firsthand about her talents include Sean Combs, Mary J. Plenty by Tracy Reese "Zora"

I was strolling through DSW w/ my mom (who was looking for a specific pair of shoes) and I kept saying to myself don't look at the clearance rack because knowing you, you will buy something. Unfortunately, I couldn't resist the urge and looked. And low and behold I came across these pretty shoes! When I tried them on they fit like a glove and were extremely comfortable. They are by fashion designer Tracy Reese. I also love the pewter color because its versatile. What do you think?

I was watching a recap of ANDERSONs premiere episode on Amy Winehouse last night and came across something I've heard about but never really paid much attention to. My mother was explaining to me that a few great artists died at the age of 27. So after doing some research I came across what they call "27 Club". Link w/ more info below.

Do you believe in Andre Walker's Hair Typing System?

When I first started going natural, I found it difficult to maintain my hair. I didn't know what products to use or where to turn. After doing some research I came across Andre Walker's "Hair Type System". Many of you might know Andre as being Oprah's hairstylist for 20+ years. So basically what this does is place your hair type (straight, wavy, curly, etc) in a specific category that is then broken up into a sub-category according to your texture. I find it very useful because if you're a 4a another person with 4a hair can recommend products that work for them. And yes, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another, but it can steer you in the right direction. Check out the link below to see what hair type you might be!
