Glitter Nail Polish

Holiday season is in full swing! Bright lights, festive decorations and family gatherings are encompassing the hearts of many around the world. Now in the world of fashion, it calls for lots of glitz and glam.

I was in ULTA not too long ago and came across this really nice glittery nail polish by them called "Pinata-Yada-Yada." It was on sale for $1.99 so I had to grab it. I used China Glaze's "Rodeo Diva" to paint all my nails and accented my index fingers with the glitter nail polish on top. What do you think?

Knee High Boots: Luv or Hate?

Knee high boots have a love/hate relationship with some people. I, myself, have grown to love them. Last winter I bought my first pair and ever since then I've been a knee high boot stalker. Many people also say they're only for tall people but listen I'm 5'1 and they look perfectly fine on me. If your short, I suggest wearing something that hits above the knee because you have to show them off. Like for instance, I always wear mine with a tunic, leggings or jeans and a coat/jacket that hits about 3in above the knee. Below are a few styles I like:

Lucky Shops Review

I attended LUCKY magazines ultimate shopping event on Nov 6. It was definitely a great experience. They had a lot of different designers at decent prices like Rachel Roy I believe was 50% off, LeSportsac was 40%, Rebecca Minkoff, Pour La Victorie, Kelsi Dagger, and others. They also had this promotion called "Lucky Breaks". On the hour, they would announce additional discounts like for example, at 2pm they announced everything at the HSN booth was now 50%. That's how I got the watch below lol. They also provided free drinks (Vitamin Water, Gold Peak Tea, water, etc) and Hpnotiq Harmonie was served at 3pm.

LUSH Store Review

I was on my way to the beauty supply store and out of the corner of my eye I saw Lush! I've heard so many good things about this store so I had to stop in. I was immediately greeted by someone that asked me if I was looking for anything special. I was hardly even listening to her because the aroma of soaps and such was tantalizing. They have so many different kinds of soaps, exfoliators, toners, etc laid out for you to smell and try! So back to the story...I told her I was looking for an exfoliator because this cold weather has dried out my face. You can't have flawless makeup during the day with crackly and flaky skin! So she recommended "Angels on Bare Skin." They had it laid out in a small kind of petri dish. So I picked it up to smell and it has a lavender type of scent. Now whats cool is that they can try it on your hand directly in the store. She brought out a metal bowl with water and got to work. This was great because my skin is kind of sensitive. Within minutes, if it starts to itch, it's not happening. After she washed it off, I waited a bit and no itching. So I proceeded to ask her what sizes do they come in and she said we actually weigh it by the ounce. Now this is also a plus because it's not like hair products. You never really know what your getting till you try it. So for $8.29 I got 0.16 oz.  If you have time during the holiday season definitely stop by a Lush store.  You can get a wide variety of gifts at decent prices. Check out their website here!

Their bags are funny, "Is their life after Lush?"

Holiday Palettes @ Sephora

Every year Sephora comes out with an array of different makeup palettes for you gift givers out there. Over the years I've realized some of these products are a lot better then others. So this past weekend, I was helping my best bud find a good palette that was more bang for her buck. After trying out a bunch, these are the ones I highly recommend.

Outre Velvet Remi Natural Yaki Update

Sorry for not posting on Friday and yesterday. My brother got married this past weekend so I was realllllly busy and exhausted.

So its been a week since I got this hair installed and its holding up great! My stylist put in a pack and a half and it's so much thicker then the regular Velvet Remi. I use flexi rods every night to get that curl/wave look. Since I had it cut into layers I use small ones on the top and bigger ones on the bottom. The hair does shed quite a bit but since I wear it curly all the time, it doesn't bother me. And as for blending, it blends really well with my natural hair. I only have to flat iron it twice a week (max). When I get to the 1 month mark, I'll do another review on this hair.

RIP Heavy D

On Monday after the verdict was read for the Michael Jackson trial , I drove home blasting one of my favorite songs, Jam. Then yesterday I heard that Heavy D passed away. He was an inspiration to many in the hip hop industry. We Found Love is my favorite song by Heavy D & the Boyz. Check out the video below. May he rest in peace.

RHOA: Premiere Episode- Some Highlights

I actually missed the premiere but good thing Bravo played it again at 10pm! I have to say that this season is full of dramaaaa!  Here are a few highlights:

I must say..Nene's hair is always on point

Bohyme Brazilian Wave Review & New Install: Outre Velvet Remi- Natural Yaki

Sooooo my bo-braz. I had it installed in July 2011 and then re installed in Sept. When I first had the hair put in it was great. I used a pack and a 1/2 and wore it out of the salon curly. The maintenance was fine. Every Sunday I would co-wash the hair, deep condition my leave out and then braid it into 2 pigtails. This caused very little shedding and tangling. Now fast forward to September. The hair started tangling like no other. Conditioning and braiding didn't even help so upon having the hair re installed I had my stylist straighten it. This caused little tangling until I got to week 3. The hair just started having a mind of it's own. I would brush it in the morning and it would be fine but within an hour or two it just went crazy. So for the next 3 weeks, I could only wear it in a bun. Would I try this hair again? Probably not. I just love the fact that it blends very well with my natural hair.

So now this past Saturday I had the Outre Velvet Remi- Natural Yaki installed (12in & 14in in 1b). A while ago I actually posted about the regular Outre Remi Velvet and said it was a bit too silky for my natural hair. This one blends pretty good so far. It also holds a curl really well.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Special: Before They Were Stars

Last night I was set to hit the sack early after watching "Millionaire Matchmaker" and on pops a special called "The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Before They Were Stars". Bravo profiled 4 of the ladies from the show to discuss what their lives were like before they hit stardom.  They discussed the happy times and not so good times of Cynthia, Nene, Kandi and Kim. I thought it was good except they left out something I wanted to know about. What happened to Kim that caused her to start wearing wigs? I guess it still remains a mystery.... Anywho, overall I thought it was good. Check out the clip after the jump.

Sequined Pieces 4 Your Closet

I was at TJ Maxx this past weekend and fell in LOVE with a black and gold sequined shirt so I had to buy it. It's definitely a good time for sequins because it gives off that "holiday vibe." Check out some of the sequined pieces I found that you can add to your closet.

Cute Gloves for a Cool Price

As I start my day to go to work, I notice that putting my hands in my pockets isn't saving the day. My hands still continue to freeze! Which I hate. So you know what that means....glove shopping! Here are a few styles I found for a reasonable price.

Kim Kardashian.....Divorce??

Yea I know it comes as no surprise to most people. Honestly, I love Kim K! She has great style and represents for us curvy big booty women out there! But this whole divorce thing that's going on now is ridiculous. She just got married less than 3 months ago and is already filing for divorce?? This makes me draw a conclusion: marriage must be a joke. Making this promise in front of God obviously means nothing to her. From what I understand (I'm not married so I could be wrong) marriage isn't 100% peachy. It's about working to join two lives together to become one. You don't just file for divorce when things don't work out "in the beginning." I can understand if you put in 2 years of trying to reconcile your differences. What do you think?
